The first Blue Economy Business and Science Forum meeting will take place in Hamburg on 12-13 September 2016 at the International Maritime Museum Hamburg. This venue has been selected for its historical importance for marine and maritime industry, research and finance.
Experts and industry professionals will meet to examine the opportunities and barriers to innovation, as well as to celebrate the scientific and industrial part of the Blue Economy. The event also includes presentations by Carlos Moedas, EU Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation (tbc) and Karmenu Vella, EU Commissioner for Environment, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries. During the gala dinner on September 12, will be held also the Blue Economy Business Awards 2016, which aims to highlight the excellence of the industry and reward organizations and experts who have helped to develop innovation in the Blue Economy sector.
